Farsophone Association in Britain

Farsophone Association was established in 1998 for the benefit of the Farsi speaking community in the United Kingdom.

Our vision is that our community* as a whole and its members as individuals be able to achieve their potential materially, socially and culturally, and to play active and positive roles as individuals and as a community in life in the UK and wider.

Our Mission is to mobilise, support and coordinate the energies and resources of the community (material, cultural and intellectual) and those of the UK society in general, to help our community and its members achieve the above vision.

Values underpinning our work Our Mission

Work with all members of the Persian Speaking community and their organisation in Britain but our starting point and strong priority is for those in Barnet and other North London Boroughs

Play an empowering role by relying primarily on involving all sections of the community in running the charity and definition, development and provision of its services and activities

Cooperate with and support other organisation supporting the Persian speaking community without unnecessarily duplicating or competing with them

Cooperate with and support all other voluntary organisations with similar aims serving British Society as a whole, locally and nationally
